Room 101 Punk Rock Band History 2025-Present

2025 started with a charity gig in The Liberal Club, Calne, but unfortunately Steve fell ill just before it. We still played, but with two guest Guitarists, Chris Jones (Homer, Derailer) and Gary Richardson (6 o'clock Circus). Steve's illness also meant that we had to postpone the studio again.

Two months rest for Steve, and we are back gigging again, returning to The Lamb in Trowbridge. A cracking venue which supplies the PA and lights, so the car is half empty for this one. All goes well, and our thoughts now turn to Laverstock for a Charity gig in aid of Alzheimer's. We get 45mins, so opt for starting with 5 originals, then finish up with 7 covers. Another good night, meeting up with other bands, some for the first time.
Two weeks later, and a return to The Cotswold in Cheltenham. As usual, it was a great night in this compact venue.
June sees another cancelled gig due to Steve's illness. This time, The Lamb in Marlborough. Always a frustration when we have to do this, but some things can't be helped I guess.

JULY, and we eventually get back to Mooncalf studios to record 8 tracks, 4 of which will end up on our next EP.
AUGUST sees us playing two gigs in two days, for the first time ever. The Lamb in Trowbridge on the Saturday, and the brilliant Talbotfest in Calne on Bank Holiday Sunday.

The year is rounded off with gigs in The Lamb, Marlborough and The Liberal Club, Calne in September, The Cotswold, Cheltenham and The Kingfisher, Chippenham in October, The Wheatsheaf, Calne (for Bristol Children's Hospital charity) in November and back at The Lamb. Marlborough in December.

We have also penned in a new song "Dead World" ready to work on in the new year, along with the three other originals that need finishing off, "Planet Terror" "Rock and Roll" and "Two Minute Hate" I can see another visit to Mooncalf Studios on the horizon.
